This just in: Shrine of the Holy Spirit ready to open

8 Apr

Recieved this release on Wednesday afternoon. The Grand Opening of the Shrine of the Holy Spirit is set for this Sunday in Branson.

“Branson, MO … April 6, 2010 … The Grand Opening of the Shrine of the Holy Spirit will take place Sunday, April 11, 2010. The 12:00 noon dedication ceremony will be preceded by a worship service at 11:00 a.m. The Shrine of the Holy Spirit is located adjacent to The Mansion Theatre at 189 Expressway Lane in Branson, Missouri. It has been five years since Gene Bicknell first had a vision about building the Shrine. Bicknell says, “My reaction to this vision was immediate and truly driven by the Holy Spirit.” He went on to say, “Even the design and blue stone materials were decided in and through the Holy Spirit.” The four hundred tons of blue stone used in construction took eighteen round trips between New York and Branson. The unique facility will be available not only for prayer and reflection but also weddings, reunions and other events. The courtyard, with planters, seating areas and a fountain, offers an unobstructed view of Ozarks countryside. On Saturday evening, April 10, The Mansion Theatre will host a performance at 8:00 p.m. by The Martins, with special guests Al Denson; and The Wilhites, who will also serve as co-hosts with producer Gene Bicknell. Bicknell is the owner of The Mansion Theatre and The Oak Ridge Boys Theatre. Cost for the Saturday evening performance is $20 (plus tax) per person. For more information and ticket reservations, call 417-239-1333 or go to TheMansionTheatre.com”

I’ll check out the shrine on my next Brabson trip and snap a few pics and report back.
